The Centro de Enseñanza Virtual CEVI (Interinstitutional E-Learning Center) was created at the initiative of the Médica Sur Clinic Foundation in order to contribute to the formation of human resources for health as well as the dissemination of medical culture to the general population through the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), specifically the Internet, as well as distance and on-line learning methodologies.
In each course students and teachers (advisors) work in a “Virtual Classroom” and through this they have access to training materials, communication and management tools, as well as spaces for activities related to their learning, such as discussion forums, class assignments, chat, grades, messages, monitoring, calendar, directory of participants, among others, it is possible to organize, systematize and develop the academic performance.
The courses offered by CEVI as well as the training material are developed by recognized specialists in different fields of medicine considering both the contents of the specialty as well as technological and educational aspects aimed to impact significantly updating and learning the topics covered.

CEVI’s teaching approach is contructivist, focused on the student and based on a close relationship between pupils and professors in theoretical and practical areas.
